Replace the factory front GMC Sierra turn signal bulb with a 3157 LED designed for the original lighting assembly. The bulbs fit the front turn signal application on 1999-2013 GMC Sierra 1500 and 2000-2014 GMC Sierra 2500/3500.

Available in amber and amber-white, this setup places 54 SMD LED chips around the bulb rather than concentrating them on one side. Each bulb produces 1200 lumens, delivering significantly higher light than typical halogen bulbs. With 360-degree coverage, light spreads evenly around the bulb, allowing the existing reflector and lens to produce a broad, consistent signal.

Switching from incandescent to LED changes the turn signal circuit's electrical load. An LED's lower current draw can cause some vehicles to flash rapidly because the system interprets the reduced load as a failed bulb.

The resistor is built directly into the bulb to provide the required load and prevent hyperflash. You don't need to install a separate resistor or splice, cut, or modify the truck's wiring.

The resistor is used only on the turn signal filament. It does not add resistance to both filaments, which helps avoid unnecessary heat when that additional load isn't needed.

Full Metal Cooling With a Silent Fan

The resistor and LED components are housed with a full-metal heatsink that helps move heat away from the bulb's internal components. A silent built-in fan adds active cooling when the turn signal is operating.

The fan activates with the turn signal, providing cooling during operation when the built-in resistor is working. This combination gives the bulb both passive and active heat management without requiring an external cooling component.

CANBUS, Nonpolar and CK Compatible

The electrical design supports CANBUS, nonpolar, and CK-compatible operation.

CANBUS compatibility is useful on vehicles that monitor their lighting circuits, while CK compatibility accommodates the contact arrangement used by compatible CK sockets. The nonpolar design means you don't have to install the bulb in a specific positive-to-negative orientation.
