H11 Headlight & Fog Light Bulbs for Dual Low-Beam and Fog Applications

The H11 bulb is a single-beam halogen lighting standard engineered for low-beam headlights and front fog lights across modern passenger vehicles. It operates on a 12V DC electrical system, uses a PGJ19-2 twist-lock plastic base that ensures a secure twist-lock installation and is rated at 55W OEM power, drawing approximately 4.6A during steady operation, but LED and HID H11 bulbs often have larger rear profiles due to heat sinks, fans, or igniters. Housing depth and dust-cap clearance must be verified before upgrading. In factory halogen form, H11 bulbs produce ~1250–1350 lumens at ~3200K, delivering a warm white output suitable for urban driving and adverse weather.

Because the H11 socket is used in both projector and reflector housings, bulb alignment, focal accuracy, and thermal management are critical. The beam cutoff, glare control, and forward spread are defined entirely by the headlight or fog light housing, while the bulb determines lumen output, color temperature, and electrical behavior. This makes H11 one of the most upgrade-sensitive bulb types, especially when transitioning from halogen to LED or HID technologies, to ensure smooth installation follow our simple h11 bulbs installation guide.

Key LED attributes include:

  • 6000K white color temperature for daylight-matched clarity

  • 3000K yellow variants for reduced backscatter in fog and rain

  • Lower power fluctuation than halogen or HID

  • Integrated CANbus load management to prevent bulb-out warnings

This Underground Lighting collection includes H11 LED headlight bulbs, H11 LED fog light bulbs, H11 HID replacement bulbs, and complete H11 HID CANbus conversion kits, covering output levels from 2000 lumens to 12,000 lumens per pair—representing a 1.5× to 9× brightness increase over standard halogen H11 bulbs. 1. H11 LED Headlight Kit – 60W 12000LM CANbus (PAIR)

This high-output H11 LED headlight kit produces up to 12,000 lumens per pair using solid-state LED emitters operating via electroluminescence at a semiconductor p-n junction.
Rated at 60W system power, it delivers instant full brightness (0-second warm-up) and maintains stable output under voltage fluctuation.

Key attributes:

2. H11 HID CANbus Kit – 35W Error & Flicker Free (PAIR)

The H11 HID conversion kit upgrades halogen systems to xenon HID technology, producing ~3700 lumens per pair at 35W. Light is generated through an electric arc in xenon gas, initiated by an igniter pulse up to ~23,000V and sustained at ~85V AC via the ballast.

Available color temperatures:
3000K yellow | 6000K white | 8000K white/blue | 10000K blue

Integrated CANbus circuitry prevents dashboard warnings, flicker, and bulb-out errors, especially in 2007+ vehicles.

3. H11 HID Replacement Bulbs – 3700 Lumens (PAIR)

These H11 HID replacement bulbs are intended for existing H11 HID systems and require a compatible ballast. When powered correctly, they deliver ~3700 lumens per pair, offering longer beam throw than halogen while maintaining stable arc output.

Color options range from 3000K yellow (fog performance) to 6000K neutral white and higher-Kelvin blue variants for styling builds.

Frequently paired with Xenon HID Replacement Bulbs collections.

4. H11 LED Fog Light Bulbs – Yellow 3200LM (PAIR)

These H11 yellow LED fog light bulbs emit ~3200 lumens per pair at 3000K–3200K, a wavelength proven to reduce short-wave light scatter in fog, rain, and snow.
Designed for low-mounted fog housings, they improve lane-edge visibility and surface contrast rather than distance projection.

5. H11 White LED Fog Light Bulbs – 2000LM CSP (PAIR)

Using CSP (Chip-Scale Package) LED technology, these H11 LED fog bulbs produce ~2000 lumens per pair at 6000K white. Their compact thermal footprint supports tight fog housings where larger heat sinks or fans may not fit.

Why Choose Underground Lighting H11 HID & LED Bulbs?

  • 2×–9× Brightness Range

Our H11 LED headlight bulbs output spans 2000LM to 12000LM vs ~1300LM halogen giving a brighter, whiter light that helps you see farther down the road. The centred beam provides maximum visibility without creating dangerous glare for oncoming traffic, making nighttime driving safer and more comfortable.

  • Superior Lifespan with Dual-Use Compatibility

H11 supports low beams and fog lights, reducing SKU complexity and with advanced temperature control and efficient design, these bulbs could last the lifetime of your car with regular use, as our LED headlights are engineered for up to 20,000 hours of operation

  • Energy Efficiency & Instant LED Illumination

LED technology delivers up to 10 times better luminous efficiency than traditional halogen bulbs. This means brighter light output while drawing less power from the electrical system, reducing strain on your battery and alternator. LED H11 bulbs reach full brightness immediately; HID requires 3–5 seconds.

  • Easy Installation & Broad OEM Vehicle Adoption

Designed to fit standard H11 sockets, used across Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Ford, GM, and more. Installing H11 LED headlight bulbs is quick with no additional wiring or modifications needed. Each kit includes everything required for a straightforward upgrade from your factory halogen bulbs.

H11 LED Headlight FAQs

H11 LED Headlight FAQs

When it comes to brightness, modern H11 LED headlight bulbs significantly outperform traditional halogen bulbs. The brightest options typically deliver between 10,000-12,000 lumens per pair. However, brightness isn't everything - the best H11 headlight bulbs for your vehicle balance high light output with a properly focused beam pattern to give you the best visibility without creating dangerous glare for other drivers.

H11 bulbs are commonly used for low-beam headlights, though some models also use them for high-beams as well. The exact application depends on your vehicle's design, but your owner's manual will specify which bulb type is used for each lighting function.

H11 headlight bulbs are widely used across many modern brands, particularly in Asian and European vehicles manufactured after 2010. They're common in Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Volkswagen, and many other makes. Our finder tool can quickly confirm if your car uses these types of light bulbs.

While H11 and H9 bulbs may look similar and share the same base type, they're not interchangeable. H9 bulbs operate at a higher wattage and different voltage than H11 bulbs, so using the wrong bulb type could affect your lighting performance and potentially damage your vehicle's electrical system. Always verify your correct bulb type before making a purchase.

H11 was initially designed as a halogen bulb type, and many vehicles come with halogen bulbs from the factory. However, you can now upgrade your H11 halogen bulbs to either LED or HID technology while keeping your original housing. Our LED lights provide superior brightness and efficiency while fitting perfectly in your factory H11 sockets.
