T10 / 194 / 168 LED Replacement Bulbs for Plate, Marker & Interior Lighting
The 194 bulb (T10 wedge base) is the most widely used T10 miniature automotive bulb (~3.8 W halogen), installed in license-plate lights, side markers, parking lights, interior dome/map lights, glove-box lights, dashboard illumination, and footwell lighting. Closely related variants include the 168 bulb (~5 W) and 158 bulb (~3 W), all sharing the same T10 wedge base with dual contact blades and fitting identical sockets across thousands of vehicle models.

This collection upgrades standard 194/168/158 halogen bulbs to T10 LED replacements (0.5–2 W) using 5050 or 2835 SMD LED arrays with 360-degree illumination architecture. Compared with filament bulbs, T10 LEDs deliver 50–300 lumens output, sharper color rendering, lower heat, and 20,000–50,000-hour lifespan while maintaining plug-and-play compatibility with 12 V automotive wedge sockets.
The collection includes:
- Ultra Bright 9-SMD T10 194 Wedge LED Bulbs – 360-Degree Illumination (2-Pack): A multi-directional T10 LED designed for uniform marker, dome, and interior illumination, available in multiple colors.
- 13-SMD 5050 CANbus Error-Free T10 194/168/158 LED: A high-density LED with a focused forward beam, CANbus-compatible circuitry, and bright white output for plate and exterior lighting.
Primary Automotive Applications of T10 / 194 LED Bulbs
License Plate Light (Most Common 194 Use)
Rear plate illumination requires a white light output to support visibility and meet applicable DOT/ECE requirements. T10 / 194 LED upgrades provide clearer plate illumination with a cleaner, modern white appearance.
Side Marker & Position Lights
T10 / 194 bulbs are commonly used in amber or red constant-on exterior marker lights. LED replacements provide sharper color output, faster illumination, and a longer service life than traditional halogen bulbs.
Parking / Running Lights
These bulbs can be used for low-intensity front or rear parking and running lights. 360° LED designs help distribute light throughout reflector housings for a more even and uniform glow.
Interior Dome & Map Lights
Many vehicle cabins use T10 sockets for dome, map, and reading lights. LED bulbs can increase usable brightness while generating less heat around plastic lenses and interior trim.
Dashboard & Instrument Cluster
T10 / 194 bulbs are also used for backlighting gauges, instrument clusters, switches, and controls. Lower-lumen LED options can improve visibility while helping prevent excessive glare.
Glove Box / Footwell / Accent Lighting
The compact wedge design makes T10 / 194 LEDs suitable for glove boxes, footwells, courtesy lights, and other accent-lighting locations where installation space is limited.
194 vs. 168 vs. 158 Bulbs
- 168: Approximately 4–6 watts and typically the brightest halogen option.
- 194: Approximately 3.8 watts and commonly used across exterior and interior applications.
- 158: Approximately 3 watts with a dimmer standard output.
All three use the same T10 wedge base and are often physically interchangeable. However, brightness, heat output, and vehicle requirements can differ, so confirm the original bulb number before ordering.
