1157 Red LED Brake & Turn Signal Bulbs Overview

Our ultra-bright 27W, 1600LM 1157 Red LED bulb handles parking, brake, and turn signal duty, with full 360-degree output for maximum coverage. Most other 1157 LED bulbs run a resistor on both filaments, which can melt the housing or damage the LED over time. But ours doesn't. This is an OEM-style 1157 LED bulb with a built-in resistor, and that resistor sits only on the turn signal filament.

We took it a step further for longevity too. A cooling fan that turns on only when the turn signal is active, cutting excessive heat right when the resistor is working. The LED is no longer exposed to constant heat, and you get no hyperflashing and no error codes. Our LED is designed to replace the factory incandescent bulb without the need to add extra resistors or parts.

No. An 1157 uses a dual-contact base for two lighting functions, while an 1156 uses a single-contact base for one function. Their socket and electrical configurations differ, so they should not be substituted. Check your vehicle’s original bulb number before replacing it. Exact fitment depends on the vehicle’s year, make, model, trim, socket, wiring, and factory lighting configuration.

Brightness varies by bulb, but this Underground Lighting 1157 produces 1,600 lumens per bulb, while the compatible 1157 LED output has approximately 600–1,600+ lumens per function. Actual perceived brightness also depends on the lens, housing, beam pattern, and vehicle’s factory lighting design.

This is a dual-filament bulb, built for sockets that run two functions off one base, like brake plus turn signal. If your socket only has a single filament, check our other bulb sizes instead of this one 

Yes. It's built to match your factory bulb's shape, size, and beam pattern, so it doesn't alter your vehicle's approved light placement or output.

No. The built-in resistor already simulates the factory bulb's load, so your stock flasher relay reads it correctly without needing a swap. 

This is usually a socket problem, not the 1157 bulb itself. Since this 1157 bulb runs a built-in resistor and CANBUS design, load detection issues are already ruled out, so the wear is happening at the socket contacts. Over time, those contacts stop pressing firmly against the bulb's base, and that weak connection tends to show up on one filament before the other.

To check, swap the 1157 bulb to the other side. If the brake function starts working there, the bulb is fine, and the socket needs attention; clean the contacts or bend them slightly so they press firmly against the bulb base. If the problem follows the bulb to the new side, reach out for a replacement under warranty.

These bulbs are the shizzle. They have that great LED instant on/off look which really makes the turn signal easy to see plus they're BRIGHT. What you're paying for is the NO hyperflash. Pays your money and makes your choice.

Brillant atomic flashing light

Motorcyclist are barley perceptible to motorist; not with a pair of your LED brake/turn signal lights. My moto went from a mild analog dual filament light to a screaming atomic BACK-the- F**K-OFF brake light. And all for a workman's price of $60 a pair. I've priced similar LED's at $60 to $90 for a single light and no guarantee. Thank you for making a superior product and making it safer for motorcyclist everywhere. Keep up the good work.

Fiats are particularly finicky about led bulbs. Finicky to the point that most people give up. These work fine and are possibly the only option that will.

The only product that works

Modern Vehicle computer system is monitoring all the vehicle's light bulbs, I've tried using a Canbus Led type light bulbs, consistently, the computer flags the installed led as a burnt out bulb, indicating a warning indicator and receiving a notification on the Vehicle App.
This is the only product I've found so far that ACTUALLY WORKS!
It's nice to know I'm able to do a LED Bulb Upgrade
