Why should I replace my halogen lights with H9 headlight bulbs?
You’ve probably already heard of several reasons. H9 LED headlights are brighter, whiter, and last longer. But did you know they are also more energy efficient?
I want a brighter whiter headlight.
H9 headlight bulbs provide superior brightness and illumination. LEDs, by design, get a whiter, brighter, and more natural light. Halogens need a hotter burning filament to achieve the same brightness, and they tend towards a more yellow tint. The amount of light a bulb produces is measured in lumens (or lm). Halogen lights run between 700-1200 LM Per bulb. As you can see above in our product title, these H9 LED headlight bulbs measure around 5,000 LM Per bulb. What an amazing difference in light levels!
I want a headlight bulb that lasts longer.
We’re all in the process of replacing standard incandescent light bulbs in our houses with LED lights partially because they last YEARS longer. Halogen headlights are a form of the same incandescent bulb, using a filament and a small amount of gas to generate light. They last about 450-1000 hours.
H9 LED bulbs, on the other hand, can last on average 30,000 hours. Depending on how long you keep your vehicle and how much you drive it with the lights on, you may never have to replace your headlight bulbs again!
What makes an H9 LED headlight bulb more efficient?
The bottom line is that it uses less energy than a halogen bulb. Halogens emit heat along with the light they produce. In fact, the brighter the light, the hotter they get. In techno-speak, a bulb’s ability to emit light relative to its draw on power is referred to as its luminous efficiency. A halogen bulb has a luminous efficiency of only 2-4%. It must draw significantly on your battery to produce a bright light.
By contrast, H9 LED headlight bulbs produce only a small amount of heat, and so they use less power to generate bright light. Their luminous efficiency can be around 6 times as efficient as a standard halogen bulb.

- Unmatched brightness and precision. A satisfied customer stated, “…these are a perfect combination, bright enough in the city, but people aren’t flashing you thinking your brights are on and then these things really shine in dark conditions…” Our H9 headlight bulbs are designed to provide focused bright light in such a way that you don’t blind oncoming traffic.
- Long-lasting and reliable design. Regarding design, these LED bulbs use quality materials and are crafted in an all-in-one housing. You can easily integrate it into your vehicle’s CAN bus system. It’s waterproof, shockproof, and resistant to corrosion.
- Superior and safer thermal management. Which simply means, this product takes care of the heat produced safely and efficiently. LED lights do generate a bit of heat right behind the diodes. This product uses a unique copper pipe and a dual ball fan to channel heat safely away, preventing and reducing overheating risk. There is also a built-in temperature sensor that will immediately lower the output power should overheating occur. Then, once temperatures have safely stabilized, they will restore full brightness.
- Easy and fast installation. Your headlight upgrade couldn’t be easier with the plug-and-play design of this product. This H9 headlight bulb kit is designed to be conveniently compact, eliminating the need for any cutting, and fits comfortably inside virtually all headlight housings. Simply plug them in, adjust the 360-degree rotating collar as needed, and use the petite in-line driver. Clear installation instructions will be provided.
Please Note: While these bulbs are as compact as possible and comfortably fit most headlight housings, they are slightly larger than a standard halogen bulb. Be sure to double-check that your washer pump and/or battery aren’t taking up needed space.
- Excellent customer service. As mentioned above, we look out for our customers. You can ask us anything, and we’ll do our best to answer clearly and concisely. We’ll help guide you in choosing the right product. And if something isn’t right when you get the product, we’ll do our best to help correct that.
There are a lot of headlight replacement bulbs and kits out there. But, be wary of purchasing cheaper options. You may end up with a kit that does not last, flickers, blinds other drivers, cause electrical problems, or are illegal. Note: our kit is legal.

Frequently Asked Questions on LEDs
Which Color Is Best for Headlight Bulbs?
The best color for your headlight bulbs is white. You want to find a bulb around the range of 6000k in color temperature. The human eye reads this color and brightness better due to its similarity to natural sunlight.
That said, the best color for your headlights can be subjective. LEDs are also available in yellow, blue, and purple. Each color will work just fine on the roads and give your car a more distinctive look than the traditional white color.
Will LED Headlights Damage My Car?
No. LED headlights will not damage your car if properly installed. In addition, you want to purchase the correct LED light that will fit your car. For example, if your vehicle has a CANbus system, you want to buy the right product and install it correctly to avoid any potential issues.
If your car was not originally designed for LED headlights, you can purchase an LED headlight conversion kit. They are safe and will not damage your vehicle as long as you buy top-quality products.
Why Are LED Lights Better?
An LED light bulb saves more energy, produces less heat, and has more light. In addition, it uses 85% less electricity than standard lighting. It is also a lower-cost product but has bright light with a longer life span.
LED light is different from incandescent light. Blue LED combined with yellow phosphor creates white light. The high efficiency of LED light makes it a popular choice.
What Is the Purpose of LED Lights?
LED lights are used as a light source in our homes, devices, and vehicles. LED (light-emitting diode) lights use gallium compounds such as gallium arsenide and aluminum gallium. LED emits light by combining a P-type semiconductor with an N-type semiconductor. Once a voltage is applied, they release energy into light.
What Is the Lifespan of LEDs?
LEDs have a long life span. When an LED is operating at 70% capacity, it has reached the end of its life span.
Incandescent bulbs have around 750 to 2,000 hours of light. In comparison, LED bulbs can have 50,000 to 100,000 hours of light, making them better investments.
Can I Replace Incandescent Bulbs with LED in My Car?
Yes! You can change your initial bulbs to LED in your vehicle. In addition, there are different places where you might want to swap out for LED lights. For example, you can change your headlights, rear license plate lights, interior door entry lights, rear brake lights, and more.
First, however, you need to inspect what type of bulb you need. There are different bulbs with various designs, so you must buy the right one to fit.
Second, different areas of your car may require special tools or specific parts to work properly. Once you have found the products you need, you’re ready to go LED.
