Each 3156/3157 amber LED bulb produces 500 lumens using 12 3030 SMD LEDs and 5 high-power chips positioned at the top. The aluminum housing and updated aluminum circuit board help move heat away from the LED components during operation.

The bulbs are nonpolar and CK compatible, so they work with the appropriate socket configuration without requiring polarity-specific installation. Plug-and-play construction keeps the replacement process simple.

A 3156 LED bulb is designed for a single-function circuit, while a 3157 LED bulb is used for applications that require separate circuits for different lighting functions. Both share the same basic wedge-style family, but they are not electrically identical.

A 3157 can replace a 3156, but a 3156 cannot replace a 3157 when the application requires both circuits. Always match the bulb number and lighting function your vehicle requires before ordering.
